If approaching from Glossop, after passing through Marple Bridge, continue on the A626 (Church Lane) up the hill and down the other side to the traffic lights (CC Aesthetics on the left, Texaco garage/Co-op directly ahead). Go straight across (Church Lane, one way street towards the left hand side of the garage). Carry on to the mini-roundabout at the end of the one way section. Go straight across and up the hill (still Church Lane). Marple Methodist Church is on the left hand side between Chadwick Street (third on left) and Empress Avenue (fourth on left).
If approaching from Stockport, travel up Stockport Road (A626) into Marple until you get to a set of traffic lights with a Texaco garage/Co-op on the right and CC Aesthetics to the front left. At these traffic lights, take the right hand fork up Church Lane (one way street). Carry on to the mini-roundabout at the end of the one way section. Go straight across and up the hill (still Church Lane). Marple Methodist Church is on the left hand side between Chadwick Street (third on left) and Empress Avenue (fourth on left).
From Whaley Bridge / New Mills direction, approach on the A6, turn right into Andrew Lane (opposite Red Lion pub, before the pedestrian crossing), at the end of Andrew Lane, turn right onto Windlehurst Lane. continue through traffic lights over narrow bridge, through Hawk Green and down into Marple. Go past the URC church on your right and at the mini-roundabout shortly after turn right up Church Lane. Marple Methodist Church is on the left hand side between Chadwick Street (third on left) and Empress Avenue (fourth on left).
There are double yellow lines immediately outside the church, but there is limited on street parking further up Church Lane on the right hand side, down Empress Avenue on the left and on Mount Drive on the right. There is also a large car park (Chadwick Street Car Park) between Trinity Street (no road name plate at end of road - instead has sign saying ‘Service Road - Access to Bulls Head Car Park’) and Chadwick Street. Entrance and exit is on Trinity Street. It is a pay and display car park. Parking is free on Sundays and 30p for two hours on other days.
