ROOMS FOR HIRE

Marple Methodist Church has a selection of eight rooms of various sizes which are available for hire. If you want to host a one off event (e.g children’s party), need a regular meeting room, or anything in between have a look below for details of each room and check out our general conditions of hire and common facilities. 	Room 1 Small (approx 4m x 5m) cozy meeting room with couches and easy chairs, suitable for 6 - 10 people.		Room 4 Medium (approx 3.5m x 7.5m) meeting room suitable for up to 20 people.
	Room 7 Large (approx 10.5m x 6.5m) flexible meeting room suitable for up to 50 seated.		Room 8 Large (approx 10.5m x 6.5m) flexible meeting room suitable for up to 50 seated.
	Room 9 Medium (approx 5.5m x 6.5m) meeting room suitable for 15 - 20 people.		Hall Large (approx 9.5m x 13.5m) hall suitable for indoor sports/activities, private parties etc and which can accommodate around 50 people seated.
	Concourse Large (approx 12.5m x 4.5m) flexible space with multiple small go-pak tables and lightweight tubular frame chairs which can be arranged as required.		Church Church worship space - has pews with seating for 150 including 2 wheelchairs plus AV equipment making it suitable for concerts, AV presentations etc.

General Conditions of Hire

• The church and its rooms are Methodist property and in accordance with its principles we have a strict ‘no alcohol’ policy - that means that alcohol must not be brought onto the church premises and must not be consumed on the church premises. By hiring a room, you are agreeing that you and everyone in your group will abide by this rule.

• We do not have facilities for disposing of rubbish generated by hirers of rooms so we ask that anyone hiring a room ensures that they take any and all rubbish away with them for disposal / recycling themselves.

• Rooms should be left clean and tidy and in the same state they were found in.

Common Facilities

• Groups hiring rooms can make use of our kitchen facilities for preparing and serving hot/cold drinks and for washing up afterwards. We do not have other kitchen facilities such as cookers or fridges. If preparing/serving drinks, please bring your own coffee/tea/milk/sugar etc and tea towels for washing up afterwards and ensure that no food items are left on the premises when you leave.
• On the ground floor there are both male and female toilets and a separate accessible/baby changing toilet. On the first floor there is a single accessible toilet.
• Stepless access - all rooms in the building can be accessed without needing to go up any steps. There is ramped access to both the main door into the concourse and the side entrance and there are two lifts - one from the ground floor to the first floor and the other (only accessible from the concourse) from the floor level in the concourse to the floor level in the main worship space of the church.
